3,350 kVA MINI POWER STATION
Comprising of three diesel generators complete with synchronising and load sharing panel.
The Sets
There are two sets built in 1987 with Deutz engines and Ansaldo alternators, rated at 1750 kVA although
the actual outputs of the sets are 1175 kVA
The third set which was built in 1990 is a Cummins engine with a Leroy Somer alternator and is
rated at 1000 kVA.
The Control Panel
The three generators operate through a four section control suite with three of the sections giving
individual generator/engine control and the fourth section being for synchronising and common equipment.
Each engine control section has a full system control module giving read out of all engine and output
conditions including pressures, temperatures, speed/frequency, voltage, current and hours recorded.
Each section has a motorised 1600 amp SACE ACB which will close onto the output Bus Bars when
synchronisation has taken place.
The Bus Bars are housed in a securely contained area within the rear of the control panel. Upon
synchronising, the control panel will sense loading and share load automatically between the sets.
